The LBD Came to Paris

Not far from my apartment, along the busy avenue de New York, is a little gem of a place called the Mona Bismarck American Center for Art and Culture.  I visited it once before to see an exhibit of sketches by Mary Cassatt.  Recently it was the venue for a delightful exhibition called Little Black Dress, organized by the Savannah College of Art and Design and curated by Vogue Contributing Editor Andre Leon Talley.  The exhibit is over, but I know that many of my fashion followers will enjoy the photographs of these amazing dresses, most of which were on loan from designers or were donated by very well-heeled and well-dressed women.  The dresses ranged in age from the early 1900’s to the present, and all were stunning.
